Bandits and Bolds

Bandits and Bolds:  This Morph has such a wide variety of color and pattern. When you are lucky enough to encounter a stand out Bandit or Bold, you are seeing the best that Leopard Gecko breeding has to offer. Every Gecko has something unique and special to appreciate. We do have available Bandit and Bold Leopard Geckos for sale.

Why is a Bandit a Bandit and a Bold a Bold?

  • Bandits = They have a band across their nose, have higher  color contrast than a Bold, and they keep a higher level of black as an adult leopard gecko.
  • Bolds = Looks like a Bandit without a complete band across the nose.

Morph Types:

  • Striped
  • Reverse Striped
  • Jungle
  • Banded

2015 Breeding Program goal:Our main goal with our Bandit and Bold Leopard Gecko Breeding Program is to produce a group of hatchlings that represent a wide variety of patterns and color traits. Certainly it would be nice to see some interesting body and head patterns as well as some Giants and Super Giants.

blunt tail tip, price reflected.

Size:  27 Grams as of 8/15/15.  she has to weigh 60 gram for females within the first 12 months of growth to be considered a Giant.  Possible Super Giant!

Color:  White and Yellow body color with high contrast Black Stripes or Jungle Patterns. Tails tend to be Black on white with Stripes, Jungle or bands. Some display Orange on the tail. All Bandits have a Black stripe on the nose. Bolds do not have the band on the nose and have slightly less color contrast. To be a Bandit they must have the stripe on the nose! We also feature a version that is Lavender Striped!

Genetics:  Based on 100% Tremper Bloodlines, line bred over 12 seasons..  All of our original breeders we used to create this group were acquired from Ron Tremper. These Bandits/Bolds are considered Ron Trempers signature morph and what he is most know for!. The breeding group for the most part are all  Giants.   Giant to Giant = 25% Super Giants,  50%  Giants  and 25% Normals.  Note most of our Bandits/Bolds will grow out to Giants assuming they are fed correctly and provided the correct vitamin supplements during the main growth phase of the first 12 to 18 months.

Breeding:  Best to breed Tremper Bandits/Bolds  to Tremper Bandits/Bolds to produce Tremper Bandits/Bolds.  Note that our Bandits produce about 80% Bandits to 20% Bolds. Another option when breeding is to breed to line bred Snows to produce a nice mix of Bandits/Bolds/Snows and Albino Snows.

Special Marks: Band across the nose and high contrast color!

Comments:  She will make a fine addition to any collection/breeding program you may be working on. Our Tremper Bandits and Bolds are fine examples of their Morph type. Rare Valuable Morph type!
